Hello all and welcome back!
It has been a while since we have used this blog but we have some really exciting adventures coming up this summer, and we thought that we should catch up a little bit before we launch into our #fryktrippingeurope! This is Katherine taking over for my mom, so please excuse my blogging inexperience! Here are a few of the most recent happenings in the Frykman home!...
Lizzy Graduates from 8th Grade

Dear Lizzy,
 |
| If this look isn't Lizzy, I don't know what is... |
I cannot believe that you are graduating from 8th grade! Time has flown by and I am so excited that you will be joining me in high school this fall! Over the last few years you have blossomed into the beautiful and mature person that you are today. Of course you will always have your unique personality that God has blessed you with, but you are learning how to share it with the world in ways that show your passion for Jesus and those around you! This year you have done some really cool things! One that especially comes to mind is your first acting experience! I remember looking at you when I took you to your audition and thinking that you were the bravest person I knew because I would have passed out if I had been in your place. You got into the play (of course) and you even managed to be one of the few people in the ensemble to have lines! You rocked each performance of the inspiring biblical story of Ruth and I cannot wait to see where your acting talent will take you next! Thank you for always being you, for not following the ways of the world but for strictly sticking to who you are and who God wants you to be. You have become so confident and I sooo enjoy all of our late night conversations (even though I may seem like I am talking in my sleep, because of course I never do that😜). I love you so much Lizzy! Remember that no matter how far away I am I will always love you the same, and if you just need to talk to someone I am only a call away! I can't wait to see where the Lord will lead you on this crazy journey we call life! I love you!
Love Always,
Katherine

Mom and Dad are so proud of their Lizzy!
Thomas and Caroline Turn 10!
Turning ten in our family is a pretty big deal. For each one of us my mom has put together a really big party with a theme that we get to choose. Now don't get me wrong, we always celebrate our birthdays but we don't really spend a ton of time picking a theme and throwing a huge party. For years we have been building up the excitement of the tenth birthday for the twins, and for about 365 days they had been counting down just how many days away the big day was. As we got closer to their birthday Thomas knew exactly what his theme was going to be, but as usual Caroline was undecided. Thankfully Caroline has three older sisters who were all too happy to help her decide on a theme and after much consideration she chose the theme Fairies in the Garden. Thomas in stark contrast chose a Football theme. Lizzy got to work designing their invitations and Mom and Mary and I started working on the
activities and food. Thomas wanted to just play football and as far as food went he wanted everything you would find at a super bowl party. Caroline had no idea what she wanted so we decided to surprise her. For two days before the party (which by the way was on their actual birthday June 7th) we ran errands and painstakingly pieced together tiny fairy houses. With a lot of help from my parents, sisters and some friends the fairy houses were ready, cakes made, mushroom meringues finished and football field painted, all was ready for the big day! The twins were up bright and early the next morning, asking for the doughnuts that are a tradition whenever there is a birthday in our house! They left with Dad and while they were gone we all rushed to do the last minute things for the party. Their friends started arriving at 3pm and after they swam for a while, they all ate dinner and then split up for the activities. The girls had fun putting their fairy gardens together and the boys had a blast playing football. Needless to say the ten year olds we put to bed that night were very tired but happy ones.
