THE ADVENTURE BEGINS...

Switzerland

We are a few days (or weeks) behind schedule with blogging about our adventures! Due to the difficulty of trying to charge a laptop without the correct converters, trying to get internet in foreign countries, and our constant moving it has been hard to keep up! So we have decided to break it down by country and share a little bit about what we did while there... Please check out our Instagram account (which we are a little bit better about posting on) @fryktripping to see our latest pictures and stories!

Our first day was spent in Luzern, and Wengen. Luzern was our first stop. We were amazed by the beauty of the very blue water, the bridges and the alps that bordered the city! We also had the privilege of spending some time with our good friends the Razzouks while there!

In search of some frozen yogurt!

We saw this lake on our way to Wengen.

We spent the next night in the little alpine village of Wengen, which is only accessible by train from the village of Lauterbrunnen. When we got off of the train in Wengen we had no idea where our chalet was, so Dad and Papa (Dad's dad) wandered around town looking for any clues. The businesses were closed and the hints they had led nowhere. After what seemed like two hours (actually 30 minutes), on their way back to the train station, they approached a local taxi (one of the few cars allowed in town).  After a brief successful conversation, we all loaded, uh, crammed into his sardine taxi-mini-c(v)an (9 people + 10 suitcases + 10 carry-ons) and we drove to our chalet as the c(v)an leaned over the precipitous cliffs with each turn. We pulled up to the chalet and got settled...the view from our deck was, well... (speechless)

We woke up to the music of cowbells every morning!

That's enough adventure for one day (just our first day!!)...stay tuned for more..
